Another prominent airport is the Fort Worth Alliance Airport. Located 23 km or 14 miles north of the city, it is named as the first purely industrial airport in the world. The other airport is the Fort Worth Meacham International Airport located at the intersection of US Highway 287 and Interstate 820.
